Saving money is one of the many things on a college student's mind.

It is also one of the most difficult things for a college student does to.

Think about it, we spend money on all sorts things: classes, school supplies, gas, food and, if we still have money, extra curricular activities.

It is definitely a daily challenge. But we are here to let you know that it doesn't have to be. Here are some simple hints that can help relieve the stress of whether or not you can afford to eat lunch for the day.

First things first, classes definitely come with their expenses but there are always ways to save a few bucks.

For example, new books are not a necessity. Used books at the bookshop can save you loads of money. And, if you are willing to search bulletin boards around campus, other students are always selling their books for a decent price.

Which brings us to a money earning point.

After the end of each semester ask yourself, "am I really going to use this book again?" If the answer is no, then sell your book back to the bookstore, post bulletins to try to sell it to another student, or put it on the internet.

Selling old and unwanted books are a great way to make a quick buck.

Now lets talk about lunch. Let's face it, we all need to eat. But buying cafeteria food or driving to McDonalds every day is not a smart way to spend the little bit of money that you have.

The best way to save money during lunch time is to make a lunch at home and bring it to school.

Not having to pay five dollars everyday for a cheeseburger and fries will save you enough money to catch a Friday night movie with your friends (or save it up for any unplanned expenses).

As for the question, "how is making lunch going to save me money? I still have to buy the food." Don't worry because we have the answer. Coupons.

Coupons are the best way to save tons of money.

Yes, cutting coupons can be a bit time consuming but the amount that can be saved seems so worth the extra couple of minutes it takes.

Since we have given you great ideas on how to save you money, a great thing to share with you would be how to earn the money you need to spend (besides selling your school books).

Do you anything out of a can or plastic bottle? If you do what do you do with them? If you just throw it away, then you might as well just be throwing your money in the trash.

Collecting cans and plastic and taking them to your local recycling center is a great way to make some money. And it is a great way to help the environment.

Now that we have given you some useful hints on being a successful money saver, you can now go on to live a stress-free college student life (well some what seen as how being a stress-free college student is no easy task).
