Artist Judy Chicago and photographer Donald Woodman are the forces behind the "Envisioning the Future" show.
Chicago and Woodman are both nationally recognized artists with a methodology that they used to shape the show.
They worked with a team of facilitators to style the show around the theme of a shared future. The team then worked with a diverse group of artists from local counties, including Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside and Orange County.
Seventy artists are presenting about 800 images in 10 galleries.
Four of those artists are from Citrus College.
Students Brandon Jones, Rey Mor, Martin Michaelson and Professor of Art Matt Jackson are participants in the show.
Media being explored in the show include painting, sculpture, installation, performance, digital imagery, photography and video.
Digital media was an avenue explored by Jones, Mora, and Jackson. Their work was showcased on the same wall.
In the digital media room, the works showcased by the Citrus artists was comprised of several pieces, sometimes a progression of a story.
Exposing emotion was the theme of Matt Jackson's work, "The Future of Matt."
"The concept is simple: create images that begin to tell the story of my emotions."
Jones's work followed an Icarus theme in his succession of images.
"As a digital artist, I feel a need to represent both the promises and the shortcomings of technology in the contemporary society," Jones said.
"Envisioning the Future" is an enjoyable exhibit that shows the future of diversity. The artists have all worked very hard to bring this exhibit to life including our own Citrus artists.
